Kiwoom Securities [039490] announced on the 23rd that its Return to Domestic Market Accounts (RIA) have surpassed 20,000.
This is as of the 20th, approximately one month after RIA was first launched on the 23rd of last month.
According to Kiwoom Securities, the most frequently deposited overseas stock in RIA was Nvidia. Nvidia accounted for over 20% of Kiwoom Securities' total RIA deposit balance.
This was followed by Tesla, SOXL (a 3x US semiconductor ETF), Palantir Technologies, and Alphabet, in that order.
Kiwoom Securities offers free currency exchange fees and benefits on overseas stock selling fees and domestic stock trading fees to RIA account holders until the end of this year.
RIA is an account aimed at stabilizing exchange rates and revitalizing the domestic capital market. If you sell overseas stocks through this account and invest in the domestic stock market, you can receive up to a 100% deduction on capital gains tax depending on the timing of the sale.
