Cointelegraph reported that the DeFi platform Flying Tulip, under development by Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic (S), has introduced a type of circuit breaker function that delays withdrawals in the event of abnormal fund outflows. This safeguard was implemented as DeFi hacks surged this month and is designed to allow transactions even if a system flaw occurs. The total damage from DeFi hacks this month has exceeded $600 million, with losses from Drift (DRIFT) and Kelp DAO accounting for 95% of the total.
