Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency denied some media reports that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, would not accompany Foreign Minister Araghchi to the second round of peace talks with the United States. It also stated that the Iranian government has not yet held any negotiations with the U.S. side in Islamabad. Earlier, the New York Times (NYT) reported, "The Iranian government continues its efforts to resume dialogue with the United States through private channels. However, Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, is not expected to attend the second round of talks."
