Even as Bitcoin continues its upward trend, investors appear to be implementing a 'staged selling amid rising prices' strategy, realizing over $5,000,000,000 in profits in just one week.
According to the cryptocurrency specialized media Finbold on April 25 (local time), Bitcoin (BTC) investors reportedly recorded approximately $5,460,000,000 in realized profits over the past week. This data was compiled based on on-chain analytics firm Glassnode, and a repetitive profit-taking trend was observed during each recent price increase.
Notably, on some trading days, the daily realized profit volume approached or exceeded $1,000,000,000. This indicates that investors are systematically selling not out of fear, but to 'capitalize on bullish phases' whenever the price rises. Currently, Bitcoin is trading between $77,000 and $78,000, moving just below the $78,000-$80,000 resistance zone.
This trend is interpreted as a sideways market in the form of 'controlled distributed selling' rather than a sharp decline. The structure of gradually realizing profits even amid an uptrend suggests that the market has entered a more mature phase, indicating that investors are balancing expectations and risk management.
Recent price movements also appear to be more heavily influenced by investor behavior than by traditional support and resistance lines. Unlike past instances of approximately 36% decline after breaking out of a 123-day box range, followed by about 39% decline after a 75-day consolidation, the current 82-day channel is seeing a rebound based on the $58,600-$70,000 support zone, testing the $78,000 upper limit again.
Bitcoin is currently trading at approximately $77,636, maintaining a weekly gain of about 1%. The market views a breakthrough of $80,000 as a critical turning point that will determine future direction, with forecasts suggesting potential further gains to $85,000-$90,000 if that level is breached.
