The U.S. court sentenced Evan Tangeman of California to 70 months in prison on charges of money laundering linked to a $263 million cryptocurrency fraud organization, Decrypt reported. He admitted to laundering at least $3.5 million in stolen funds, and the organization has been operating on an online platform since 2023, according to investigations. The court considered obstruction of justice, including attempts to destroy evidence, when determining the sentence, and also ordered three years of supervised release.
