U.S. President Donald Trump on the 29th (local time) pressured Iran to engage in peace negotiations, stating, "Iran is not coming to its senses. It would be good for them to grasp the situation quickly."
President Trump made this statement in a short post on social media (SNS) Truth Social around 4 AM Eastern Time that day, strongly pressuring Iran by saying, "They (Iran) don't even know how to conclude a denuclearization agreement."
Below the post, President Trump also uploaded his own photo titled 'No More Mr. Nice Guy'. In the photo, President Trump is wearing sunglasses and carrying a firearm against a backdrop of bombings.
AFP news agency reported that President Trump posted this message while peace talks between the United States and Iran were stalled.
More than two months have passed since the outbreak of the Middle East war, but the U.S. has not been able to conclude peace negotiations, failing to find common ground with Iran on issues such as the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's denuclearization.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported the previous day that President Trump had ordered his aides to prepare for a long-term naval blockade of Iran to secure Iran's abandonment of nuclear weapons.
