CoinTelegraph reported that the use of Circle's euro-pegged stablecoin EURC for retail payments is concentrated in Spain. According to data from cryptocurrency banking platform Brighty, Spain emerged as the largest market in Europe, accounting for approximately 36% of EURC transaction count and 25% of transaction volume from 2025 to Q1 2026. The average payment amount per transaction was approximately 49 euros (57 dollars). Brighty co-founder Nick Denisenko explained, "For Spanish users, EURC functions like a regular euro.
