According to Decrypt, Walrus (WAL), a Sui (SUI)-based storage protocol, has officially launched 'MemWal', a memory layer and SDK product exclusively for artificial intelligence (AI) agents. MemWal provides verifiability, availability, portability, and shareability to agent memory. In this regard, Abinhav Garg, Product Manager at Mysten Labs, the developer of Sui and Walrus, explained, "Using Walrus and MemWal together means that memory is stored in an open and verifiable data layer, eliminating the need to be dependent on specific AI models or vendors. This means users can freely choose AI models such as ChatGPT and Claude, and leverage new applications that remember cues about the user."
