The US Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced its plan to begin tokenized securities trading in July and expand the platform's launch in October. According to CoinDesk, the service will be built within DTCC's central securities depository ledger system, DTC (Depository Trust Company), and will enable companies to issue digital versions of their assets while ensuring the same ownership and protective measures. It was developed by gathering feedback from over 50 companies, including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Anchorage, and Circle. The media evaluated, "DTCC's move into the real-time tokenization market will give impetus to Wall Street's blockchain initiatives."
