DL News reported that Uniswap (UNI) is discussing a governance proposal to reclaim 12.5 million UNI ($42 million) that was lent to delegates. The Uniswap DAO had lent this amount to the Uniswap Foundation and key delegates in 2022 and 2023 to activate governance. The governance proposer explained, "The governance environment is now sufficiently active, so the lent tokens have served their purpose." The media added, "A structure that only exercises proxy voting rights without self-capital can lead to a mismatch between economic exposure and voting rights, and resolving this is essential for ensuring healthy governance."
