An anonymous cryptocurrency whale investor has filed a lawsuit against Coinbase, claiming the platform has not returned funds stolen through hacking. While the main details of the lawsuit have not been disclosed, Decrypt explained that it appears to be related to a $55 million DAI phishing attack that occurred in August 2024. The investor claimed, "After the hack, I hired multiple companies to track the whereabouts of the cryptocurrency and found the stolen funds in a Coinbase account. In early December 2024, Coinbase stated they would freeze the funds until the investigation results were out, but I have not received them back for a year and a half now."
