Consensys's self-developed zkEVM Layer 2 Linea (LINEA), an Ethereum (ETH) infrastructure developer, has joined the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT·Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust) and open-sourced its core ZK rollup technology. According to Cointelegraph, this move means Linea's core technology will be managed under the LFDT's open-source governance framework, rather than by a specific company. However, core network functions such as sequencers, provers, upgrade rights, and validator participation structure will be managed by the Linea team.
