This is the first time the MOEF has publicly stated its position on virtual asset taxation. According to E-Daily, regarding specific taxation plans, Chief Moon said, "The National Tax Service is preparing related regulations," adding, "We expect the regulations to be publicly disclosed soon." He continued, "(The National Tax Service) is practically coordinating with the five major virtual asset operators (Dunamu, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, Gopax) through several meetings to prepare the draft regulations." He added, "We expect the National Tax Service's regulations to be announced for legislative notice soon."
