Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmain (BMNR) and co-founder of Fundstrat, said that as the company approaches its supply target (5%), it may slow down its Ethereum purchases. According to CoinDesk, he stated, "At the current purchase rate, we are expected to reach our target of 5% Ethereum holdings within six weeks. We now believe it would be good to slow down the pace a bit," adding, "After that, we will focus on staking and share buybacks." Bitmain has recently been purchasing approximately 100,000 ETH per week. Initially, the company expected it would take five years to secure 5% of the Ethereum supply, but it has secured 4.29% in less than a year. Bitmain currently holds over 5.1 million ETH.
