Coinbase announced that it has resumed trading services that were suspended due to an AWS (Amazon Web Services) outage. According to Cointelegraph, the outage began when some infrastructure problems occurred due to a temperature increase at an AWS data center in Northern Virginia, USA. During the outage, Coinbase switched the market to a 'cancel-only' mode, and then gradually restored trading functions through an 'auction' mode. The company explained, 'Although it is designed to respond to a single AWS availability zone outage, this time, problems occurred simultaneously in multiple zones, causing a prolonged outage in core trading services.' Currently, all exchange, web, and mobile app functions have been fully restored.
