CoinDesk reported that Kenya's mobile payment app Tando has launched a Lightning Network-based service that allows users to send Bitcoin (BTC) via phone number and receive Kenyan Shillings (KES) in their mobile money accounts. Funds can be sent from anywhere in the world, and recipients can receive funds into existing accounts such as M-PESA without a cryptocurrency wallet or KYC verification.
