Isabel Schnabel, a member of the European Central Bank (ECB) Executive Board, pointed out that stablecoins could pose several risks to financial stability and monetary policy. According to Bloomberg, at the BOK International Conference held in Seoul on the 1st, she emphasized, "While stablecoins can bring significant benefits, they can increase the risk of bank runs and weaken the effectiveness of interest rate decisions. They strengthen the international dominance of the US dollar. The ECB's best response is to ensure that public funds act as an anchor for the system."
