US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated in an interview with CBS News that he "sees no apparent issues" with the disclosure of former President Donald Trump's cryptocurrency profits. This statement comes after data revealed that former President Trump earned approximately $1.4 billion through memecoins such as Trump (TRUMP) and World Liberty Financial (WLFI) since the start of his second term. Democrats have criticized these earnings as a potential conflict of interest, given that the Trump administration is pushing for crypto regulation relaxation. Regarding this, Secretary Bessent asserted that "this administration is an innovation administration," claiming that the benefits of technological ecosystem development, including digital assets and artificial intelligence (AI), are returning to the American people. A White House official also told CBS that there was "no conflict of interest" regarding the disclosed information.
