Nigel Farage, leader of the hardline conservative Reform UK party, has been reported to a parliamentary investigative body over alleged illegal cryptocurrency lobbying, Decrypt reported. It is alleged that he lobbied the Bank of England regarding cryptocurrency policy after receiving an undeclared donation of £5 million ($6.7 million) from Christopher Harborne, a major shareholder in Tether. While Farage and Harborne deny the allegations, stating that the funds were unconditional private money, parliamentary authorities are investigating a possible violation of lobbying regulations.
