Posco International announced on the 16th that it will expand its project to install guideboards at overseas independence movement historical sites, carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, to Mexico, the United States, and the Netherlands this year.
A total of 111 PoasART guideboards, including new installations and replacements of existing guideboards, will be sequentially installed in these countries by March next year.
PoasART is a high-resolution color steel plate created by combining inkjet printing technology with steel materials, offering a resolution more than four times higher than existing printed steel plates.
On the 15th, Posco International held a re-opening ceremony for the local office of the Korean National Association in Merida, Mexico (now the Museum of Korean Immigration History) with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Mexico, replacing the signboard and guideboards. In September, it will replace the entrance signboard of the Yi Jun Memorial Hall in The Hague, Netherlands.
107 new guideboards will be installed at the Heungsadan (Young Korean Academy) branch in Los Angeles (LA), USA.
This project is part of the 'Posco 1% Sharing Foundation' initiative, operated by voluntary donations from employees. Last year, 64 guideboards were installed in China, Mongolia, and New Zealand.
