Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said he expects cryptocurrency to become as commonplace as the internet in five years. In an interview with Scott Melker, host of The Wolf Of All Streets, CZ stated, "New use cases and developments will continue to emerge, but I hope that cryptocurrency will become widely used like the internet in five years, as it establishes itself in daily life." He added, "Blockchain will also be utilized in other areas such as data storage, and AI will significantly accelerate development and coding speeds, with AI agents also extensively using cryptocurrencies." He further emphasized, "Today's core industries are the internet, blockchain, and AI. Any country that misses out on even one of these will be severely disadvantaged."
