CryptoSlate reported that Bitcoin transaction fees have recently plummeted. The media outlet explained, “As of April 8 (local time), the daily BTC transaction fee was 2.443 BTC, a 69% decrease compared to the previous year, and the average fee per block is only about $0.33. Considering the current block reward of 3.125 BTC and a structure of approximately 144 blocks generated per day, fees account for less than 0.5% of miners' revenue.”
