Market attention is focused on XRP (Ripple) as an ultra-bullish forecast suggests it could reach $1,000 within the next 4-5 years.
According to the cryptocurrency media outlet Finbold on April 10 (local time), Dom Kwok, a former Goldman Sachs analyst and co-founder of EasyA, predicted in an interview that XRP could rise approximately 740 times to exceed $1,000 by 2030. This represents an upside potential of over 74,000% compared to the current price of approximately $1.34.
This forecast is based on the growth potential of the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Currently, over 50% of XRPL transactions are used for payment purposes, and its real-world usage base is expanding in conjunction with Ripple's global remittance network expansion. Indeed, the number of XRPL addresses has increased to over 8.1 million, reaching an all-time high.
Increased institutional participation is also cited as a key variable. The analysis suggests that institutions such as SBI Ripple Asia and Ripple Treasury are building XRPL-based services, laying the groundwork for future demand expansion. This could act as a factor in boosting XRP's utilization in the global payment market.
The regulatory environment is also a crucial condition for a bullish scenario. If institutional frameworks, such as the U.S. cryptocurrency market structure bill and the CLARITY Act, are established in the U.S., institutional investor participation could expand, potentially leading to increased demand for XRP.
However, achieving this goal requires the simultaneous fulfillment of several conditions, including securing regulatory clarity, popularizing XRPL, and expanding institutional adoption. The outlet added that while this scenario could materialize, it is not a stage where short-term realization can be guaranteed.
