Grayscale analyzed in a report that if approximately $110 trillion in assets are transferred from older generations to younger generations, it could act as a long-term boon for the cryptocurrency market. According to CryptoBasic, the report explained, "Assets held by Americans aged 60 and over amount to approximately $110 trillion. This will shift to younger generations over time, with up to $124 trillion expected to be transferred between 2045 and 2048. The cryptocurrency ownership rate among Millennials and Gen Z is 45%, which is higher than that of older generations (18%). Therefore, even if only 2% of the total assets flow into cryptocurrency, approximately $2.2 trillion in new demand will be generated."
