According to Cointelegraph, Circle announced the launch of 'USDC Bridge,' which supports native cross-chain transfers of USDC. This service is based on the existing CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol) and is built on an infrastructure that processes over $500 million in daily transfers. USDC Bridge operates on a burn-and-mint mechanism, enabling transfers without wrapped tokens, and offers features such as upfront fee display, automatic gas handling, and real-time status checks. It currently supports at least 17 EVM chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base, focusing on reducing the complexity of existing bridges.
