A billionaire investor declared a $500 million Bitcoin purchase, once again sending a 'major buy signal' to the market.
According to cryptocurrency media Watcher.Guru on April 20 (local time), Grant Cardone, CEO of Cardone Capital, announced plans to purchase $500 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) this year, setting a final target of holding 10,000 BTC.
Cardone emphasized his aggressive accumulation strategy, stating, "I believe I can reach 10,000 BTC within 11 months of starting the investment." He revealed that he has revised his strategy to accumulate Bitcoin in parallel with 25,000 core location assets, instead of his previous goal of 100,000 real estate properties.
In particular, Cardone evaluated Bitcoin not merely as a speculative asset but as a long-term store of value. At the same time, he stated his intention to build a structure that secures both cash flow and asset value appreciation by concurrently investing in real estate.
Market forecasts also lean towards long-term appreciation. According to CoinCodex data, Bitcoin is projected to potentially rise to $82,038 by the end of 2026, $166,372 by 2030, $968,339 by 2040, and $1.43 million by 2050. In the short term, there is also a forecast of reaching $90,000 by mid-July 2026.
This statement shows that the view of Bitcoin as a safe-haven asset remains valid even amidst geopolitical risks. As the potential for large capital inflows is highlighted again, future price movements are increasingly likely to be influenced by accumulation by institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
