Evaluations suggest that Strategy's aggressive fundraising and Bitcoin (BTC) accumulation strategy are fundamentally changing the paradigm of corporate asset management.
According to crypto media outlet NewsBTC on April 20 (local time), Matt Hougan, Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer, diagnosed that Strategy's STRC structure completely disrupted traditional Bitcoin investment methods. He emphasized that Bitcoin should no longer be viewed in the old ways.
Strategy recently completed a fundraising round of approximately $1.76 billion, securing significant liquidity for further purchases. Subsequently, from April 13 to 19, it purchased approximately 34,000 BTC, increasing its holdings to over 810,000 BTC. This is considered an example that goes beyond mere investment, showcasing a new model where companies accumulate Bitcoin as a strategic asset.
Hougan analyzed that Strategy has effectively built a structure that allows for continuous accumulation of Bitcoin. STRC is acting as a key tool to innovate corporate financial structures, going beyond a mere fundraising mechanism.
Changes are also being observed in the dividend structure. Strategy is considering shortening the dividend payment cycle to provide regular cash flow to investors. This is interpreted as a strategy to build not only profits from Bitcoin price appreciation but also a stable income generation model simultaneously.
This structure is expected to lower entry barriers for institutional investors. Analysis suggests that Bitcoin is increasingly likely to become a core revenue source for companies, moving beyond being merely a highly volatile asset.
Market influence is also expanding. Strategy's aggressive accumulation strategy increases the concentration of capital within the Bitcoin market and acts as a factor supporting the price floor. If more companies follow this model in the future, Bitcoin is highly likely to become a central asset in corporate financial strategies.
The virtual asset market is now entering a new phase. The changes triggered by Strategy are evaluated as a turning point that could impact the overall asset management methods of global corporations, going beyond simple investment strategies.
