President Trump attended a dinner hosted by the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. around 8 PM on this day.

During the event, a loud explosion was heard from somewhere in the venue, and President Trump and other dignitaries sitting at the head table on stage ducked under the table and then evacuated.
