The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed a lawsuit against the state of Wisconsin, alleging that it infringed upon the CFTC's jurisdiction over prediction markets, according to the Watcher.Guru X account. Previously, Wisconsin had filed lawsuits against prediction market service operators such as Kalshi, Coinbase, Polymarket, Robinhood, and Crypto.com, arguing that event contracts constitute gambling rather than investment products.
