US Senator Cynthia Lummis stated via X that "The developer protection provisions within the Cryptocurrency Market Structure Bill (CLARITY) are not problematic, and efforts are currently underway to supplement these provisions. We will ensure the safety of developers unrelated to illegal funds while also punishing illegal actors." Previously, US Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche also mentioned that developers who do not aid in the criminal activities of third parties will not be prosecuted.
