Yonhap News reported that the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) under the Financial Services Commission appealed the first-instance court's decision to revoke its partial business suspension order against Dunamu. The FIU submitted an appeal to the Seoul Administrative Court this morning, challenging the ruling to cancel Dunamu's sanctions. This lawsuit originated when the FIU, in February last year, detected violations of the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information (Special Financial Information Act) by Dunamu and its employees, and notified them of a three-month partial business suspension. The legal battle between the FIU and Dunamu is expected to continue to the second instance.
