Geopolitical tensions due to ongoing blockade measures between the US and Iran are putting downward pressure on the cryptocurrency-related stock market.
According to Coingape, a cryptocurrency-specialized media outlet, on April 30 (local time), with the US government having seized approximately $500 million in Iranian virtual assets, the price outlook for major stocks such as Circle (CRCL), Bitmine (BMNR), and Strategy (MSTR) is becoming uncertain.
Strategy (MicroStrategy) shows a structure where its stock price is linked to its Bitcoin (BTC) holdings, and is currently trading around $158.19. As military uncertainty in the Middle East makes it difficult for Bitcoin to secure its support level, caution regarding further adjustments in Strategy's stock price is also spreading.
Despite recent news of Bitmine's large-scale accumulation of Ethereum (ETH), external variables have compounded, causing it to fall to around $20.66. Circle is also showing weakness around $92.47, reflecting the impact of tightening market liquidity and strengthening risk-aversion sentiment during its preparations for listing.
Market experts analyzed that the prolonged conflict between the US and Iran could lead to rising energy prices and a flight from risky assets, thereby worsening the profitability of cryptocurrency-related companies. As long as global political instability persists, macroeconomic conditions and geopolitical variables are expected to drive stock price movements more than individual companies' performance indicators.
Major cryptocurrency-related companies are responding to market volatility by focusing on improving capital efficiency and risk management. Until geopolitical blockade measures are resolved and uncertainty is removed, investors should maintain a conservative perspective and confirm whether key support levels are held.
