Investors have deployed a powerful AI-driven database weapon to counter the long-standing environmental destruction controversy and indiscriminate fear-mongering that have plagued virtual assets. Moving beyond mere emotional arguments, an innovative tool capable of instantly and logically refuting social media criticism based on dozens of academic papers and verified data has emerged, drawing significant market attention.
According to Bitcoinist, a cryptocurrency news outlet, on May 2 (local time), the Nordic-based virtual asset education platform Bitcoin Beyond 66 recently launched an open-source AI tool called "The Bitcoin Evidence Base." This tool is designed to quickly generate and provide reliable answers to public criticisms regarding Bitcoin (BTC), the leading cryptocurrency, concerning environmental damage and energy waste.
The database extensively draws upon over 22 peer-reviewed papers, research reports from the University of Cambridge in the UK, and real-world data from ERCOT, the Texas power grid operator. Recognizing that average supporters lack the time to read numerous academic papers themselves, the tool is designed to instantly produce customized responses based on verified evidence whenever someone posts criticism or a link targeting Bitcoin. Indeed, according to an April 2025 University of Cambridge report frequently cited by this tool, over 52% of current Bitcoin mining uses renewable energy, a figure significantly higher than the green energy usage rate in traditional banking.
This tool does not merely provide uniform answers. Users can select one of three response styles—direct, balanced, or gentle—to match the context of the conversation. This strategy is borrowed from environmental activist Daniel Batten's communication approach, which involves gracefully acknowledging factual aspects of an opponent's criticism first, then presenting objective evidence to develop a logical argument. The ultimate goal is not to unconditionally belittle or silence the opponent, but to deliver accurate information to both the participants in the conversation and third-party readers.
For over a decade, the carbon footprint left by Bitcoin mining has been a primary target for numerous critics, including the United Nations (UN) and various governments. However, numerous recent indicators demonstrate a noticeable shift in the Bitcoin mining industry's energy structure towards low-carbon and renewable energy sources. Bitcoin Beyond 66 pointed out that outdated data and poorly designed past studies continue to distort public opinion.
Born to address this information imbalance, The Bitcoin Evidence Base is continuously evolving by accepting voluntary submissions of research papers and links from the public. The industry expects this collective intelligence-based archive to become a strong shield, correcting distorted public opinion and disseminating accurate facts about Bitcoin.
