The co-creator of Ripple directly unveiled early user cases of XRP and artificial intelligence (AI)-based experiments, proposing directions for the utilization of the XRP Ledger.
According to a Bitcoinist report on May 2 (local time), David Schwartz, Ripple CTO Emeritus, introduced early instances where XRP was first mentioned via X (formerly Twitter). He referred to an email from February 2013 where a user requested XRP, explaining the flow of actual usage within the community at the time.
Schwartz stated that while he did not directly send XRP in response to that request, another participant provided support instead. This case was presented as an example showing the early days of the XRP Ledger being utilized as a means of value exchange between users, rather than just a simple technology.
Recently, new utilization experiments combining AI were also revealed. Schwartz proposed to pay XRP to users who shared AI prompts on X, and he actually sent XRP to users who met the conditions.
This experiment was conducted by utilizing a blockchain-based reward structure to pay for content contributions. Schwartz explained that through this, he aimed to encourage user participation and test ways to expand the usability of the XRP Ledger.
He emphasized that the XRP Ledger should evolve into a platform that accommodates various use cases beyond just a payment network.
