IREN (formerly Iris Energy) announced that it will acquire cloud infrastructure service provider Mirantis. The acquisition is valued at approximately $625 million, and the deal will be paid for with IREN common stock. Through this acquisition, IREN plans to strengthen its capabilities in the AI cloud sector. After the acquisition is complete, Mirantis will operate as an independent subsidiary, maintaining its existing services and supporting IREN's expansion in the AI cloud business.
