Cryptocurrency asset management firm Galaxy analyzed that venture capital (VC) investment in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry recorded approximately $4 billion in the first quarter, a sharp 50% decrease compared to the previous quarter. According to CryptoPotato, Galaxy explained in a recent report, "In Q1, there were a total of 355 crypto and blockchain VC investments, totaling $4 billion. The investment amount decreased by 50% compared to the previous quarter, and the number of investment cases decreased by 16%. This is attributed to the failure of large-scale late-stage investment cases that occurred in Q4 last year. Instead, there were many small-scale seed and early-stage investment cases. By sector, the exchange, investment, and lending sectors attracted approximately $2.6 billion, accounting for the largest share, followed by wallet startups with $270 million."
