The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized $8 billion worth of cryptocurrency during a crackdown on an international online investment fraud organization, Fox News reported. The FBI arrested approximately 300 suspects and rescued about 2,000 victims of forced labor and kidnapping through an international joint operation targeting criminal organizations operating in Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This seizure is considered one of the largest asset seizures in U.S. government history.
