Transfers are now possible with just a mobile phone number and real name, without a wallet address.
Korbit, a virtual asset exchange, announced on the 1st that it has launched a 'Send to Contact' service that allows users to send virtual assets using only a mobile phone number and real name.
'Send to Contact' is a service that allows Korbit members to send virtual assets by simply entering the recipient's mobile phone number and real name, without needing their virtual asset wallet address.
There are no separate transfer fees, and since it is processed directly via an internal exchange transfer method, blockchain network fees and confirmation waiting times do not occur.
Non-members can also receive virtual assets if they sign up for Korbit and verify their identity within 72 hours of receiving a transfer. If the reception is not completed within the deadline, it will be automatically refunded to the sender.
Lee Jung-woo, Korbit's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO), said, "'Send to Contact' is the first step to simplify the virtual asset transfer experience to the level of general financial transfers."
