▲ The Korea Customs Service announced on the 1st that it would expand the financial institutions where customs duties can be paid via virtual accounts to include Woori Bank and Korea Post, in addition to the existing Nonghyup Bank. Woori Bank will be available starting this month, and Korea Post will be available starting in the second half of the year. With this expansion of payment institutions, the Korea Customs Service has reduced the fee borne by the government for using virtual accounts from 80 won to 45 won per transaction. The Korea Customs Service stated, "We will continue to improve payment services to enhance taxpayer convenience and save budget." (Sejong = Yonhap News)
