According to Cambodian police, Chinese real estate developer Yang Weixin (53) was murdered following a kidnapping incident where a $2 million cryptocurrency ransom was demanded, BeInCrypto reported. Yang was abducted from an apartment in Phnom Penh on May 29 and found dead about 14 hours later in an abandoned vehicle near the Dangkao district. The kidnappers reportedly used the victim's mobile phone to demand cryptocurrency worth $2 million from his family. Police have classified the incident as a planned ransom kidnapping that led to murder and are currently investigating. Three suspects are currently at large.
