As Strategy Inc. (STRC)'s aggressive accumulation continues, changes are being detected in the liquidity structure of the Bitcoin (BTC) market.
According to CoinGape, a cryptocurrency specialized media outlet, on April 14 (local time), Strategy Inc. recently acquired an additional 19,441 BTC over the past 10 days. Chairman Michael Saylor chose a different strategy from traditional common stock issuance, utilizing preferred stock product STRC as a fundraising method.
Strategy Inc. previously announced that it had purchased 13,927 BTC by investing approximately $1 billion. At that time, the average acquisition price was $71,902. With this additional purchase, the total holdings expanded to 78,897 BTC, which is approximately 3% of the total supply.
The core of this accumulation is the dividend-paying preferred stock structure. STRC offers an 11.5% variable annual dividend, and the funds raised through it are used for Bitcoin purchases. This structure is designed to offset the dividend burden if Bitcoin's price rises by more than 2.05% annually.
Saylor defined Bitcoin as a core capital asset for the company and expressed a continuous intention to accumulate it. The analysis suggests that the market environment is shifting from a halving-centric structure to one where the speed of institutional capital inflow dictates prices.
Strategy Inc. is continuing its trend of combining large-scale fundraising with accumulation, thereby influencing the Bitcoin supply structure within the market.
