Decentralized exchange CowSwap (COW) announced via its official X account that users were exposed to phishing sites due to a social engineering attack on the 14th, resulting in a $1.2 million loss. The protocol's core infrastructure was not attacked, but a vulnerability in the domain management system was exploited. The CowProtocol team also stated that they have recovered the domain and strengthened security through service migration and registry lock.
