PA News reported that Ethereum (ETH) founder Vitalik Buterin presented network scalability and quantum security enhancement as key goals in Ethereum's four-year roadmap at the Hong Kong Web3 Festival. Short-term tasks include △increasing gas limits and improving scalability △CKEVM, which extends EVM based on Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK) △supporting smart contract wallets and quantum-resistant signatures using account abstraction. Vitalik emphasized, "By 2028, we plan to shorten the final transaction confirmation time to within 10-20 seconds and introduce zkVM technology to create an environment where even low-spec devices can directly verify the chain. Ethereum's essential direction is to become the world's most secure and decentralized blockchain, rather than focusing on speed competition with high-frequency trading platforms."
