According to a report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) citing sources, Iran has informed a regional mediator that it will send a delegation to Islamabad on the 22nd (local time) to attend a second round of talks with the United States. However, the Iranian government has not officially confirmed the dispatch of the delegation. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated at a press conference on the 21st that there are no plans for second talks in Islamabad, causing confusion over the attendance. Earlier, Iranian President Pezeshkian emphasized that there is deep-rooted historical distrust towards the US government, stating, "The Iranian people will not succumb to force."
