Ripple's movement of approximately 200 billion KRW has been detected, putting the market on high alert.
According to crypto media outlet Finbold on April 21 (local time), Ripple recently moved approximately 125 million XRP (Ripple), which is worth about $178 million. This movement occurred at a time when XRP was struggling to recover to $1.5, drawing market attention.
According to on-chain data, Ripple executed two large transfers several hours apart. 75 million XRP, worth approximately $107 million, moved out of Ripple-affiliated wallets, while 50 million XRP, worth about $71.5 million, flowed back into Ripple from an unidentified address. Analysis suggests this is an internal fund reallocation rather than an external transaction.
Looking at the actual flow, Ripple consolidated 50 million XRP into a main wallet, then redistributed 75 million XRP through an intermediary wallet. Of this, 50 million XRP moved to a Coinbase-affiliated wallet, and the remaining 25 million XRP was kept for internal holdings. The structure utilizing multiple wallets is considered a common method for liquidity management and exchange response.
This movement is different from the escrow structure, where 1 billion XRP are released monthly and most are re-locked. It is a reallocation of existing holdings, interpreted as a financial management adjustment rather than an increase in new supply. The movement to Coinbase-related wallets, in particular, suggests the possibility of liquidity provision, institutional transactions, or OTC trading, but it is also noteworthy that past instances have not led to significant selling pressure.
Currently, XRP is trading at approximately $1.44, up 1.2% in 24 hours and 5% weekly. The 50-day moving average of $1.38 acts as short-term support, while the 200-day moving average of $1.89 remains strong resistance. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) maintains a neutral level at 51.74, and the market is watching whether this large movement is simply liquidity management or a signal of a trend reversal.
