Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, released a groundbreaking forecast in its annual report 'Big Ideas,' stating that Bitcoin's market capitalization will reach 16 trillion dollars (approximately 22 quadrillion KRW) by 2030. This implies that the current market cap of about 1.5 trillion dollars will surge more than tenfold, with an average annual growth rate of 63%. The report cited the full-scale entry of institutional investors as the key driver of this growth. With the launch of spot ETFs, the inclusion of Bitcoin in corporate treasury assets, and the accelerated adoption of Bitcoin as a reserve asset at the national level, the analysis suggests that Bitcoin will fully establish itself as a new institutional asset class. In particular, if Bitcoin, as 'digital gold,' absorbs 40% of the total gold market value, this single scenario alone could generate an additional upside potential of approximately 10 trillion dollars. Ark Invest predicted that in this process, the price of one Bitcoin would surpass 730,000 dollars (approximately 1 billion KRW), and the entire cryptocurrency market size would also reach 28 trillion dollars.
