As the U.S. Senate Banking Committee is deliberating and voting on (markup) the detailed agenda of the Clarity Act, Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego, who had been negative about the bill's processing, expressed his support, according to Crypto in America host Eleanor Terrett. She added, "However, Ruben Gallego added a caveat that his support in the Banking Committee does not mean support in the full floor." The 24 senators on the Banking Committee (13 Republicans, 11 Democrats) are discussing and voting on dozens of detailed provisions of the Clarity Act, and will ultimately vote on whether to send the bill to the full Senate. If the Banking Committee passes the bill, the Clarity Act will proceed to the full Senate vote after jurisdictional coordination and integration procedures with the Senate Agriculture Committee.
