Ann Irvina Ravinther, former Head of Marketing at Drift Labs, stated that the recent Drift hacking incident showed that DeFi still has a long way to go in terms of security. In an interview with DL News, she said, "Because of these issues, it will be difficult for DeFi to be accepted into traditional financial markets. We need to restore trust. While cryptocurrency and DeFi professionals generously accept these changes and consider them part of development, the industry must first mature to accept general investors. Unfortunately, that is not the case now." She left Drift Labs in February and reportedly suffered a loss of cryptocurrencies worth $76,000 in the recent hacking incident. Whether the funds have been recovered is unknown.
